I bring you a new release of Kirinji on this beautiful Monday!
This marks the end of volume 8!
It always feels good finishing a volume!
Well, some thoughts on the chapter are below, I hope you will enjoy!
We are already 5 minutes into the tournament! Whoaaa!!!
Alright.
This chapter was mostly Mahjong.
I enjoyed seeing the new Phil. For some reason it seems he REALLY wants to have a small daughter...
It seems suspicious... It couldn't be that Koume had any influence on that, could it?
We also see the first yakuman of the entire series. It's a Kokushi Musou by Tetsuo.
That's a great start for the tournament. First victory: Yakuman.
Looks promising.
Regarding Dokurou's name. It literally means Poison+Son in Japanese.
His nickname comes from a very similar word Dokuro- Skull, and Juku is how the cool kids call Shinjuku.
And last but not least, Amakasu won his first-ever East-Only game. Atta boy!!
The next chapter might take a bit longer as I have to do the preface as well, as it's a new volume.
