Today we present you with a new Shin Kurosawa chapter. Thanks to Portal, the new letterer Beefpork and to Davigdor for working on the chapter, and the remaining patrons for the spiritual support.

This chapter is interesting in my opinion, because it introduces a new dynamic to the story, we are finally moving away from the pure Kuro vs Koinosuke 1v1 narrative and it feels refreshing in my opinion. And the lettering also feels fresh.

Not much else to say, hope we keep up the pace now, feels nice.

Very Humble 2024 Christmas + New Years Special

Hello folks,

 

 

I am very well aware that we have some kind of "Christmas Release" tradition here at Lion's Ridge, however, this year I unfortunately didn't make it. Sorry to disappoint anyone if anyone was actually looking forward to it.

Nonetheless, we managed to get a Shin Kuro and a Muteki chapter out for this occasion. Thanks to the team and the few remaining patrons for making this possible.

In other news, we really haven't given up on this project and hobby, nor lost passion for it. I am personally overwhelmed a bit right now due to me going back to my IT science studies + resuming my Japanese studies + working a shitty job at the same time.

However, I can't complain too much about it, compared to my life before, where I genuinely didn't know if I would survive the next day, this right now is heaven for me, and damn it, I will find some way to work on scanlation too. I will probably combine it with my Japanese studies which I am resuming now.

In some good news: We might have found a new letterer to help out with Shin Kurosawa, which means we should be able to have it completely translated within your lifetime! (Joke, will be finished sooner)

Hello everyone!

I've been looking forward to this month, and to this day... It is my favorite month of the year, because of many reasons. We made it just in time to present you with a triple release of Shin Kurosawa on the 1st day of the month of December! Hopefully we will be getting snow over here soon too.

 

Thanks to the amazing job done by the team, I hope this makes up a bit for the months of inactivity this year regarding this series. The year was long, and we had some difficulties organizing ourselves properly, and there was a big lack of time. But we will always find time and come back eventually, since this is our passion. Thanks for sticking with us!

This has been long due, we apologize if anyone felt "Kuro Dry" in the past two months. At least we make up for our delays, so please enjoy a sweet triple release.

This part was the most fun to translate in Shin Kurosawa so far, for me personally. As you might know, I am a huge original Kurosawa fan, and it feels as if the series is going back to its roots. It made me genuinely laugh, in a way that only Kurosawa can make me laugh.

We are happy to present you a brand new Shin Kuro chapter, all thanks to our team and the patreon supporters.

These chapters have much more mercy than the earlier chapters regarding redraws, translation and typesetting, so it seems the worst is over. BUT, this is Fukumoto and we will see if it gets crazy again, for now we can only hope.

I don't know if it's me giving the series another slow take, and another calmer perspective which makes it just enjoyable, without laying down any brutal heavy life philosophy upon you...

Which makes you think... Is Shin Kurosawa actually a meta response by FKMT to the reactions he received from the people to the ending of the original? Hmmm, makes you think... Sometimes some messages have to be told to the audience indirectly to get a point across... But maybe not, makes you think anyway.
