Bird Volume 1

Hello!

Welcome back, all, to the next chapter of the Lion's Ridge story. Sorry for being inactive for a long time again, we had two wrenches stuck in our gears.

But good news, those wrenches are out and we can work on scanlation again!

So, surprise, I present you a WHOLE VOLUME of the manga "Bird".

I know this came out of nowhere, but I have been working on this in the background for Danchi. I myself didn't know about this manga at all, but I gotta admit, I like it. I hope you will like it too!

I am not sure if we will continue it, as this was a commission. Let's see what the future holds for Bird.

As for other manga. A Kirinji Gate chapter is coming out very soon. I am holding back on it because there aren't many available raws left, and I don't want us to be caught up with Japan and then wait 6-12 months for a Tankobon to come out for us to continue it.

Regarding Shin Kurosawa, it is also coming out very soon, and that one should pick up on the pace. Portal pls.

Greetings everyone!

Today we are back with a brand new Shin Kuro chapter. Big, big thanks to Portal, the man has spent a lot of time and effort working on the visuals, and it shows. Also thanks to EscarBOOM for making this possible.

For those confused by our release schedule, it is a bit complicated. It all depends on the sound effects. They take a lot of cleaning, redrawing and special typesetting. So if a Shin Kuro chapter is merciful to us scanlators, you get it pretty fast. But then there are chapters like this which are just brutal. If you are bored you can follow the sound effects in the chapter, and just imagine the process it takes to turn those Japanese fat text ones to the English ones we release.

Other than that, a new Kirinji Gate soon, and the one manga I have been working on in the shadows should be released pretty soon as well.

Another Kirinji Gate this Sunday! Still no news about the volume 7 release date in Japan, but I got some Lion's Ridge news at least.

There will be a surprise next week, I have been working on something in the shadows, hope you will like it once we release it. It's another Mahjong manga, one which is kind of unknown, but has a bit of a twist and I consider it a hidden gem. Hope you will like it!

That is also the reason why Mukoubuchi will be slow for a while, as I focus on that other project. And finally, the next Shin Kurosawa will also come out within the next week, so look forward to that as well.

It took a bit longer, because this chapter had an insane amount of sound effects, not really typical of Kuro, and big props to Portal for deciding to tackle them and redraw and typeset all of them.

I think it looks great and I am quite proud to release this chapter. Of course, also thanks to EscarBOOM for making it possible in the first place.

This is a really special occasion for me, so we bring you a TRIPLE RELEASE!

The occasion is that: 

1) I have finally applied for a visa to get out of this third-world country, and believe me, it was a long and expensive procedure.

2) It was my birthday recently.

With that bureaucratic nightmare off my mind, we should be releasing a bit more frequently.

Kirinji Gate Volume 4 is finished with this chapter, and the Omake at the end of the volume is very meta and funny I think, I suggest checking it out!

Kirinji Gate 27 + Updates on our series

Greetings!

Kirinji Gate is back! Now that we have finished Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku we have more time for other series again. Although that isn't the only reason. As I explained earlier, we are not very far from catching up with Japan and once we do there will be months of waiting for a new volume. So there is really no use in catching up as soon as possible. We will try to do it weekly or bi-weekly or so, to keep you interested and so we don't wait too long once we have caught up with Japan.

Regarding Shin Kuro, the next chapter is ready to be worked on, we are just waiting for our sponsor,  should be in 10 days or so ready for release! Or, as I said in the previous Shin Kuro post, if you are satisfied with our quality and itching for faster releases, any small contribution would speed it up.

Regarding Mukoubuchi, imperfectluck has gone radio silent, as soon as we get scripts from him again we will continue.

Another big surprise today! You didn't expect this, huh?

Well, yes, we are doing Shin Kurosawa. Even though I talked dismissively about it in the podcast with Sonic, with the support of some people, I am happy to work on this. Similar to Mukoubuchi, this is only possible thanks to other people, first EscarBOOM for commisioning it, and ThePortalNinja for typesetting it.

With the commision I would love to do this series more frequently, but the sponsor can only afford 1 chapter in 2 weeks right now, and I am really grateful to them for comissioning me, I know it might appear slow, but Kirinji Gate and a new passion project are on my mind right now, that's our team's main responsibility.

Welcome back, Kuro!

Hello.

Yes, it's finally here. The end of Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku. Finishing a series after so many years always carries a mix of different emotions. It has been part of my life for some 6 years or so, and I kinda got used to Sanada, Inui, Okamura, Shijou, Taizoo and the rest waiting for me when I had time to translate their dialogue.

It's a bit more heart-breaking for me, since my first ever scanlated chapter was Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku chapter 71. Looking back on it now, I see how amateurish it was, but I do not wanna redo it, I like to see a progression in the quality of our chapters through time.

I am also sorry it took so long, it could have been done much quicker, but my life is unfortunately unstable and at times, I just couldn't find the free time to translate. I think it's an epic manga and I never rushed any chapter, I went with the philosophy "better delay it and make a good translation than rush it, just to get over with it". I hope you are all satisfied with the quality.

Thanks to the other groups who did the first half before us. Thanks to all for being patient and no one ever trying to steal the series from us or complaining too much. Thanks to the guest typesetters, and biggest thanks to Davigdor and Caitao for working on this with me. And... Goodbye Koizumi.

Mukoubuchi 22 + Update

Heeeeey!

We are back! Sorry for the wait, those who aren't following our discord probably aren't aware, but my GPU died last month. And yes, it took a whole month for it to arrive, since I live in a third world country.

But all's good that ends good, and now I have replaced my old 2008 GPU (R.I.P. in peace, sweet prince), and we can scanlate again.

Now, this is not a late April's fool joke, we really are doing Mukoubuchi. It will have lowest priority and we will do it on the side, and the only reason we are doing it, is because we have imperfectluck providing the scripts, and the chapters aren't too hard to typeset and clean. No worries, Kirinji coming out very soon and Koizumi finally being finished in the next weeks.

For now, as I am restarting my scanlation skills, check out Mukoubuchi, it's only 22 chapters in, and FKMTkrazy did an amazing job in the previous chapters. We won't upload their chapters, you can find them on mangadex.

Also, I hate to ask this, but I have no choice. Buying this GPU I spent all of my savings, they are damn expensive nowadays, so if some of you have have some change, it'd really help a lot. There are both paypal and patreon to the right on the blog. Anything would be appreciated very, very, very much.

We present you another Kirinji Gate chapter, maybe (?) my favorite yet. I love the cameos of the old characters, the callbacks to the old places, it's really nostalgic and builds a great base for the manga.

At the same time it feels like it's only the beginning, because a very important character isn't really involved yet, but we know he will get involved sooner or later. I am also speculating, as the manga is ongoing and I only know about what's out right now.

We will see, we will see, only thing I can be sure of is that it's gonna be great!

Happy Saturday and weekend! Today it's another great Kirinji Gate chapter! Koizumi will be a bit delayed because of the hard redraws, but hey, if we waited 10 years for Koizumi to be completed, we can wait a few more days before we finish that legendary manga.

With the current pace of Kirinji Gate, we will probably catch up with Japan pretty soon. Then it will be either 1 month wait time for a chapter or half a year wait time for a volume...

Even more old characters and the story picks up even more! A beloved old character returns as well! I have to admit though, these chapters are a lot longer than classic Kirinji. I feel like I'm writing a novel every day. I'm still fit though, no worries, hehe.

Sorry for the delay with this chapter, it was really, really hard. I am not gonna whine about it, I'm glad we completed volume 2 now, but man, it took a lot of energy to complete.

Fun fact, the Mahjong Pro in the Omake Manga at the end, is the co-author of this series, and he is credited in every volume.
